PIM One year later
Feb 04, 2022 in #linkdump #infosecThis was a great time for some self reflection on the state of my digital self. It was also for realising that I tend to rely on a lot of external services for things such as planning my time, or taking notes. As part of this "dry January" I spent some of the time documenting a simple system of markdown files that I could syncronise across a few devices to do these simple things such as:
- Time planning
- Note Taking
- List making
- Flash cards for learning
- This blog is generated from within my PIM system
In the year since starting this, it's become my main way of keeping track of notes / things I have going on. I syncronise this information over Git between a few devices, and render it out to html for viewing.
Going forward, I plan on moving it to Gemtext in order to simplyfy it even further, removing the need to render it out to HTML etc. Keep It Simple, Stupid.
